Less is more: ORO changes its packaging to protect the planet
Packaging that is both aesthetic and eco-friendly? At ORO, we prove that it is possible. We are abandoning varnish and plastic in favor of raw, easily recyclable materials. This is another element of our mission, in which design goes hand in hand with responsibility.
For us, packaging is more than just product protection. We have long attached importance to thoughtful branding—our cartons feature images of endangered bird species and the logo of the Mysikrólik foundation, with which we collaborate. Now we are going a step further, ensuring that our packaging is not only beautiful and distinctive on the shelf, but above all environmentally friendly throughout its entire life cycle.
Our actions are based on specific data. Choosing paper over plastic makes a real difference. Statistics show that the recycling rate for paper and cardboard packaging in Europe is over 80%, while for plastic packaging it is only around 40%. By choosing paper, we are choosing a raw material that has a much better chance of being recycled.
"For us, this change is more than just a new carton design. It is a conscious business decision that reflects ORO's values. We want our customers to be confident that when they choose our products, they are choosing a brand that thinks comprehensively about the future – from energy-efficient LED technology inside the product to packaging that is friendly to the planet," says Patrycja Górecka-Butora, Marketing Coordinator at ORO.
This philosophy is consistent with our long-standing mission. For years, we have been focusing on providing energy-efficient LED lighting solutions, and we are proud to work with the Mysikrólik Foundation to support the protection of endangered species.
